Erigeron Karvinskianus ‘Seaside Daisy’
Who doesn’t love the Erigeron Karvinskianus that’s more commonly known as the Seaside Daisy? It’s a personal favourite here because it never fails to grow and creates zero stress.
Erigeron is a vigorous, free-flowering evergreen with delicate mid-green leaves and masses of small daisy flowers in the warmer months. The buds and young blooms start baby pink and mature into bright white petals with yellow-pink centres.
This low-growing classic beauty is made for walls, steps, container edges, rockeries and anywhere there’s an overhang. She brings a cottage garden feel with her lacy froth of foliage and pretty flowers with barely any effort.
Quick Facts:
- What to use me for: I’m ideal cascading over a wall, steps, containers or hanging baskets with my frothy loveliness.
- I grow to: I’ll reach only 30cms high and 50cms wide.
- Where to place me: Full sun to part shade, please.
- How far to space me: As edging I need 40cms, anything else 60cms.
- Soil Conditions: I’m tough once established, but I like moist soil. If there’s a dry spell give me a good long drink so I can produce summer-long flowers for you.
